Artist wave 1 results are out!
The Prospero NEW consortium has selected 25 artists for the very first wave of “Prospero NEW” artist label, who will receive support for their touring. The second wave will be announced in September 2025. Waves 3 and 4 will be selected in 2026.
Each of the 19 theatres and festivals has proposed 2 artists and their performances. Out of the 38 candidates, the selection is organised as follows: 1 performance per theatre + 5 among the other 19. The results of this WAVE 1 are:
where they can present their work and participate in artistic meetings. These events provide access to a European network of 19 prominent theatres and festivals, and opportunities to connect with programmers, producers, and peers. All selected artists are invited to engage actively with the network.
Research
Prospero NEW also conducts research into key sectoral themes such as sustainability, diversity, and working conditions in the performing arts. These studies aim to foster dialogue between artistic and scientific communities, explore current challenges, and identify future models for the performing arts sector.
