Biography
He was born in 1987 in Athens. He is a graduate of the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece (2012) and the Contemporary Theatre of Athens Drama School (2008). He has worked primarily in theatre and cinema as an actor [Selected collaborations: D. Karantzas, A. Azas, L. Kitsopoulou, G. Moschos, N. Milivojevic, T. Boulmetis, P. Sevastikoglou, et al.]
At the same time, he has had various theatre roles behind-the-scenes (assistant director, assistant set designer, assistant lighting technician, production coordinator), in the cinema (assistant director, production assistant), and in education (theatre for adolescents). In 2024, he directed the musical performance “Neighbours,” based on a poetic text by Sofia Ioannou with music by S. Roumeliotis (Plankton Art Space) – a commentary on the loneliness of the modern metropolis. In the summer of 2025, he directed the performance “Io: On the Mountain of the Great Gods,” written by Pavlina Marvin with music A. Rizopoulos (Archaeological Site of Samothrace) – a musical and theatrical composition for Samothrace inspired by Aeschylus’ “Prometheus Bound.” In November 2025, he directed “Nojaveland, a chamber western,” written by G. Aposkitis (Theatre 104) – a dark farce about the greed and loneliness of modern man, who consumes everything. He is currently rehearsing for the production “Something Will Happen, You’ll See,” based on the book of the same title by Christos Oikonomou to be performed in October 2026 (Thiseion Theatre, Athens), which he is directing and performing in.
Nojaveland
A surreal work of fiction set in the Wild West. On a bison-breeding ranch in Dakota, a family attempts to trade on its own past — turning a genocide into a tourist attraction – but a Native American curse derails their plans. Nojaveland, an original text by G. Aposkitis, is a dark comedy that explores the themes of colonial legacy, greed, and the loneliness of the contemporary human who consumes everything — even himself.
Drawing on the motifs and aesthetics of westerns, and the extermination of the indigenous peoples of the American continent as both historical fact and global narrative, the creators craft a political satire about humanity and its insatiable nature—a parable about the many El Dorados* of recent centuries.
Three actors and a dancer are swept into the vortex of a hollow amusement park, where a former porn star, a Chinese investor, a bankrupt gambler, and a Greek housekeeper move in sync with frantic cowboy rhythms, amid the ashes of the American Dream.
What is left to conquer when we have conquered everything?
*El Dorado (Spanish for “the golden one”): a mythical city in the northern part of South America, believed by Spanish conquistadors to possess abundant gold and immeasurable wealth.
